Milano Bicocca is a young university with 12 Departments and 4 Schools. It has been founded in 1998 on a previous industrial site, as part of a large-scale redevelopment project launched around 1986 that shaped the Bicocca District, where the 21 buildings of the campus are all located, with the exception of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, which is in Monza, near the San Gerardo Hospital.
